Revisiting Mérida

The recent Anthropologie campaign is set in one of my favorite-ever places–or, maybe my truly favorite-ever place–Mérida. We decided to go to Mérida on the advice of a guy I met on a commuter bus, who told me it’s the only place he returns to again and again.  After we booked our tickets, some of our friends were like, Mérida? Really? Why would you go there? (These are our friends who prefer vacations relaxing at a pool with a blended drink.)

I thought Anthropologie did a lovely job showing off their summer collection, but a not-quite-as-lovely job showing off Mérida, so here are ten photos from our trip:

Lovely! I’ve had this on my vacation list ever since you posted photos the first time around.

I’m looking for your pix of the romantic concrete chairs in the zocolo? You know, the ones were a couple can sit side by side facing each other.
